Meet Rochelle

Registered Psychotherapist

My Background

Before becoming a therapist, I served in a variety of ministry roles, including children’s, youth/young adult, women’s, and outreach ministries. It was during this time that I began to see how many people longed for deeper emotional support—support that professional counselling could provide. This insight is what led me to pursue a career in psychotherapy.

I’ve also worked in the health and wellness field and hold certification in holistic nutrition. That experience opened my eyes to how closely our mental and physical health are connected. Sometimes, stress and emotional well-being can impact how we nourish ourselves—and vice versa. I believe in approaching wellness holistically, honoring the whole person.

I hold a Bachelor of Religious Education in Counselling (BRE) and a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling (MDiv). I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly attend trainings and seminars to deepen and expand my skills. With my theological background, I also have a special interest in supporting those within faith communities.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Hi, I’m Rochelle.

It would be my honour to meet you and hear your story.

I’m someone who approaches therapy with deep compassion, curiosity, and respect. I truly believe that therapy can be a transformative and healing space—a place where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

I take a person-centered approach to therapy, which means our sessions are shaped around you: your experiences, your needs, and whatever you'd like to explore. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.

How I Work

My approach to therapy is integrative and flexible, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy

  • Attachment Theory

  • Family Systems Therapy

For clients who are interested, I also offer Christian counselling—integrating faith into our work in a way that feels natural and supportive for you.

When working with couples, I draw from Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method, helping partners navigate challenges, build stronger emotional connections, and communicate more effectively.
